» Abby was born in New Orleans to deaf parents. She is fluent in ASL and is decent at lip-reading. Living next to a dump for gnarly car wrecks, Abby developed a curiosity early on for the cause & effect that resulted in each wreck. She did undergrad at Louisiana State University for Sociology, Criminology, and Psychology - full honors. She holds master's degrees from Georgia State University in Criminology and Forensic Science; her Master's Thesis was on spontaneous human combustion. Prior jobs include: incinerator operator, ski lift operator, and road kill collector.

Abby shares a deep bond of trust with Special Agent Leeroy Jethro Gibbs and has demonstrated her loyalty to him throughout the series.
